José Libardo Garcés Monsalve
José Libardo Garcés Monsalve (born September 26, 1967 in Aguadas , Departamento de Caldas , Colombia ) is a Colombian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Málaga-Soatá .
Life
José Libardo Garcés Monsalve received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Manizales on November 27, 1993 .
On June 29, 2016, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Málaga-Soatá. He was ordained bishop by the Cardinal Prefect of the Congregation for Bishops , Marc Ouellet PSS , on September 1st of the same year. Co- consecrators were the Apostolic Nuncio in Colombia, Archbishop Ettore Balestrero , and the Archbishop of Manizales, Gonzalo Restrepo Restrepo . The inauguration in the diocese of Málaga-Soatá took place on October 1, 2016.
