José Valmor César Teixeira SDB (born March 1, 1953 in Rio do Sul ) is a Brazilian religious and Roman Catholic bishop of São José dos Campos .

Life

José Valmor César Teixeira attended school at the Don Bosco Salesian College in his hometown. After he had made his first profession on January 31, 1971 in the religious order of the Salesians of Don Bosco and completed his scientific, literary, philosophical-theological and pedagogical studies in Lorena and at the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná (PUC-PR), he received ordained a priest on December 9, 1979 by Tito Buss , Bishop of Rio do Sul . He eventually specialized in education at the Pontifical University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS) and in church history at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome .

On January 28, 2009 he was by Pope Benedict XVI. appointed Bishop of Bom Jesus da Lapa , Bahia . He was ordained episcopal on March 29th of the same year by the Archbishop of Florianópolis , Murilo Sebastião Ramos Krieger SCJ ; Co- consecrators were Pedro Antônio Marchetti Fedalto , Archbishop of Curitiba , and José Jovêncio Balestieri SDB, Bishop of Rio do Sul. The inauguration took place on April 18, 2009.

Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of São José dos Campos on March 20, 2014 . The inauguration took place on May 17 of the same year.
