Moacir Silva (born July 16, 1954 in São José dos Campos , State of São Paulo , Brazil ) is Archbishop of Ribeirão Preto .

Life

Moacir Silva was ordained a priest on December 6, 1986 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of São José dos Campos on October 20, 2004 . The episcopal ordination donated him the bishop of Santo André , José Nelson Westrupp SCI , on June 21 of the same year; Co- consecrators were Raymundo Damasceno Assis , Archbishop of Aparecida , and Dimas Lara Barbosa , Auxiliary Bishop in São Sebastião do Rio de Janeiro . As a motto he chose Permanecei em mim .

On April 24, 2013, Pope Francis appointed him Archbishop of Ribeirão Preto. The inauguration took place on June 23 of the same year.
