Josef Fischer (politician, 1924)

Josef Fischer (born December 15, 1924 in Stetten ; † December 3, 2012 ; resident in Stetten) was a Swiss veterinarian and politician ( republican ).

Life

Josef Fischer, son of the farmer of the same name and his wife Klara, née Thürlemann, graduated from the Aarau Cantonal School . He studied veterinary medicine at the Universities of Zurich and Vienna . In Zurich he passed the state examination and was awarded a Dr. med. vet. PhD . Fischer ran a large and small animal practice in Bremgarten . He was responsible for the meat show in the communities of Wohlen , Bremgarten , Niederwil and Stetten .

Fischer was a member of the National Council from 1971 to 1979 . He took a seat in the commissions for the Spatial Planning Act, the Forest and Fisheries Act and the Animal Welfare Act .

Josef Fischer was married to Marie Luise, née Thürlemann, who was also from Stetten and was of Catholic denomination.
