Joseph Sibomana

Joseph Sibomana (born April 25, 1915 in Save , Rwanda , † November 9, 1999 ) was Bishop of Kibungo .

Life

Joseph Sibomana received on 25 July 1940, the Vicar Apostolic of Kabgayi , André Perraudin MAFR , the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On August 21, 1961, Pope John XXIII appointed him . to the first bishop of Ruhengeri . The Apostolic Delegate to the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda-Urundi , Archbishop Gastone Mojaisky-Perrelli , donated him episcopal ordination on December 3 ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Kabgayi, André Perraudin MAfr, and the Bishop of Nyundo , Aloys Bigirumwami .

On September 5, 1969, Pope Paul VI appointed him . to the first bishop of Kibungo. On March 30, 1992, Pope John Paul II accepted Joseph Sibomana's application for resignation for reasons of age.

Joseph Sibomana participated in all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council .
