Joshua "Josh" Harding (born August 27, 1985 in Adelaide ) is an Australian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Adelaide Adrenaline in the Australian Ice Hockey League since 2008 . Since 2014 he has also played for the lower-class Adelaide Blackhawks.

Career

Josh Harding began his career as a hockey player in his hometown with the Adelaide Avalanche , for which he was active in the Australian Ice Hockey League from 2004 to 2008 . From 2005 to 2007 the defender spent a year in Europe with the Heerenveen Flyers from the Dutch Eredivisie and at FPS Forssa in the Suomi-sarja , the third Finnish division, and then played in the AHIL in the summer. After the dissolution of the Adelaide Avalanche before the 2008 season, the defender moved to their successor Adelaide Adrenaline , for which he has played since then and with whom he was able to win the Goodall Cup , the Australian championship in 2009 . Since 2014 he has also played for the lower-class Adelaide Blackhawks.

International

For Australia , Harding took part in the junior division of the U18 World Junior Championship in Division III in 2003 , the U20 World Junior Championship in Division III in 2004 and the U20 World Junior Championship in Division II in 2005 . In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the World Championships in Division II in 2006 , 2007 , 2008 , 2014 and 2015 and in Division I in 2009 and 2012 . In 2018 he was nominated for the AIHL All Star Game.
