The course of the Lüder from the Vogelsberg on the way to Fulda (right at the end of the map)

The Jossa is an 11.7 kilometer long right tributary of the left Fulda tributary Lüder in the district of Fulda , Hesse .

It rises in the eastern Vogelsberg not far from the community Jossa (name) and flows through Poppenrod , Hosenfeld , Schletzenhausen and Gersrod before flowing into the Lüder in the district of Hainzell, southwest of Kleinlüder , a district of Großenlüder . Its course almost always has the direction of flow north-north-east.

In earlier times, numerous mills settled on the Jossa. The buildings that have been preserved today are the upper and lower hedge mills (Hosenfeld) and the donkey mill (Schletzenhausen).
