Josué Filipe Soares Pesqueira (born September 17, 1990 in Ermesinde ), called Josué , is a Portuguese football player .
Career
In the club
As a teenager, Josué switched to the youth department of FC Porto . In 2009 he was accepted into the professional team. However, he played his first professional games as a loan player for the Portuguese second division clubs SC Covilhã and FC Penafiel . For the 2010/11 season he moved to the Dutch first division club VVV-Venlo as part of another loan deal , with whom he barely held the class at the end of the season. For the 2011/12 season Josué was signed by the Portuguese first division club FC Paços de Ferreira . Here he made his breakthrough in the 2012/13 season with 23 league appearances. The FC Paços de Ferreira ended the season in third place in the table and thus achieved the best placement in the club's history as well as the first-time qualification for the UEFA Champions League . Josué himself was named the best young player of the season. For the 2013/14 season Josué returned to FC Porto.
For the 2014/15 season he was loaned to Bursaspor in the Turkish Süper Lig . After he was again noticed in the first half of the 2015/16 season due to lack of discipline, his contract was prematurely terminated by Bursaspor in the spring of 2016. In the second half of the season he played on loan for Sporting Braga and won the Portuguese Cup at the end of the season by beating FC Porto in the final .
For the 2016/17 season Josué was loaned to Galatasaray Istanbul . Galatasaray did not exercise a purchase option of 1.5 million euros at the end of the season. Instead, he was committed in the summer transfer period by league rivals Osmanlıspor FK . Osmanlıspor terminated his contract at the end of December 2017. The second half of 2017/18 Josué remained without a club.
Akhisarspor signed him in the summer of 2018 . In the 2018/19 season he won the Turkish Supercup and made it to the cup final . For the 2019/20 season Josué moved to Israel to Hapoel Be'er Scheva .
In the national team
Josué went through the Portuguese youth national teams. On 14 August 2013 he was in the context of a friendly match against the Netherlands under coach Paulo Bento the first time in the squad of the senior team . He then made his international debut on October 11, 2013 in the World Cup qualifier against Israel .
