Judy Horney

Judy Horney (* 1979 ) is a German screenwriter , non-fiction writer and copywriter .

Live and act

Horney comes from a hairdressing dynasty. From 1998 she studied at the Bavarian Academy for Business Communication in Munich , in 2000 she graduated with a Bachelor in Marketing. She then studied journalism, sociology and psychology at the Free University of Berlin from 2003 to 2005 . During and after her studies, she initially worked as a copywriter for various advertising agencies such as Jung von Matt and DDB and designed print and television advertising for Heineken , bonprix and Google, among others . From 2003 to 2008 she also wrote as a freelance writer for Neon and Maxim magazines .

In 2011 and 2012 Horney attended a scriptwriting course at the Filmhaus Babelsberg in Cologne, during which she wrote a sitcom with a friend on behalf of NDR . In 2017 she published her first non-fiction book . She made her cinema debut in 2018 with the script for The Most Beautiful Girl in the World , for which she was responsible together with Aron Lehmann and Lars Kraume . The three authors were nominated for the German Film Prize 2019 .

Horney has been writing the scripts for episodes of the Joyn Original Check Check since 2019 .
