Julia Wolf (writer)
Julia Christina Wolf (born 1980 in Groß-Gerau ) is a German writer.
Life
Wolf grew up in southern Hesse and moved to Berlin after graduating from high school, where she studied American and German at the Free University . After completing her literary studies, she became a freelance writer for radio, theater and film. Her drama Der Du , published in 2010 by Theaterstückverlag Munich, premiered in 2011 at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus and was produced as a radio play by WDR in the same year . The radio plays Happy End (NDR / WDR / SWR 2011) and Women Without Men (WDR 2013) followed.
In 2015 her debut novel Alles ist now was published by the Frankfurter Verlagsanstalt . Wolf was awarded the Lotto Brandenburg GmbH art prize in the literature category. The author also received three grants in 2015, one from the Hessian Literature Council for Cetate , Romania, one for the Künstlerhaus Edenkoben in the southern Palatinate and one for the MacDowell artists' colony in Peterborough , New Hampshire .
At the invitation of juror Hubert Winkels , Wolf took part in the competition for the Ingeborg Bachmann Prize in 2016 . It won the 3sat prize there. The victoriously presented text Walter Nowak remains , an excerpt from her second novel, was largely created in 2015 during a five-month work grant at the Künstlerhaus Edenkoben. The author applied for another scholarship for autumn 2016 at the Writer's House in Stuttgart .
Julia Wolf lives and works in Berlin .
