Julius Georg Knoll

Julius Georg Knoll (born January 29, 1790 (different date of birth 1792) in Hof , † March 30, 1851 ) was a German lawyer.

Life

Julius Georg Knoll was born as the son of a Hallober official (customs officer).

He attended high school in Hof (today: Jean-Paul-Gymnasium Hof ) and studied law at the University of Jena and the University of Erlangen from 1809 to 1812 . After graduating, he worked as an appellate court accessist in Bamberg .

In December 1818 he joined the Bavarian civil service as the town court record clerk in Bayreuth . In July 1820 he was appointed city ​​judge and in January 1821 city judge in Bayreuth. From February 1832 to February 1842 he was a district judge in Lauf and from 1842 until his death a judge of appeal at the royal appellate court of the Upper Palatinate and Regensburg in Amberg .

On August 20, 1849, he opened the first assistant session in the Upper Palatinate district as president of the jury .

He was named a Knight of the Order of Merit of Saint Michael .
