Margny-sur-Matz is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Mareuil-la-Motte in the north, Élincourt-Sainte-Marguerite in the east, Vandélicourt in the south and south-east, Marquéglise in the south and south-west and Ressons-sur-Matz in the west.
