Chelles is a northern French municipality with 507 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in Oise in the region of Hauts-de-France (before 2016 Picardy ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Compiègne and the canton of Compiègne-2 ( Attichy until 2015 ). The inhabitants are called Chellois .

Chelles is about 22 kilometers east-southeast of Compiègne . Chelles is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Croutoy in the north, Hautefontaine in the north and northeast, Mortefontaine in the east and southeast, Retheuil in the south and southwest and Saint-Étienne-Roilaye in the west.
