Rethondes is a northern French municipality with 656 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Oise in the region of Hauts-de-France (before 2016 Picardy ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Compiègne and the canton of Compiègne-1 ( Attichy until 2015 ). The inhabitants are called Rethondois .
geography
Rethondes is about eight kilometers east of Compiègne on the Aisne , which borders the municipality in the south. Rethondes is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Crépin-aux-Bois in the north and east, Berneuil-sur-Aisne in the south-east, Trosly-Breuil in the south and south-east, Compiègne in the south-west and Choisy-au-Bac in the west and north-west.
history
On the clearing of Rethondes found in 1918 and 1940 , the armistice negotiations between Germany and France instead.
