Mélicocq is a French municipality with 740 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Oise in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement Compiègne and the canton Thourotte (until 2015: canton Ribécourt-Dreslincourt ). The inhabitants are called Mélicocquois .
geography
Mélicocq is located about ten kilometers north-northeast of Compiègne am Matz , which borders the municipality in the north. Mélicocq is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Chevincourt in the north, Machemont in the northeast, Thourotte in the east, Longueil-Annel in the south and southeast, Giraumont in the south and southwest, Villers-sur-Coudon in the west and southwest and Marest-sur-Matz in the west and Northwest.
