geography
Salency is located in the Pays Noyonnais about 25 kilometers northeast of Compiègne on the Canal latéral à l'Oise . Salency is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Crisolles in the north and north-west, Béhéricourt in the east and north-east, Babœuf in the east and south-east, Varesnes in the south, Moulincourt in the south-west and Noyon in the west.
