Mortemer is a French municipality with 224 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Oise in the region of Hauts-de-France (before 2016 Picardy ). It belongs to the Arrondissement Compiègne and the canton Estrées-Saint-Denis (until 2015 Ressons-sur-Matz ).

Mortemer is about 23 kilometers north-northwest of Compiègne . Mortemer is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Rollot in the north and northwest, Hainvillers in the north, Orvillers-Sorel in the east, Cuvilly in the south and southeast, Lataule in the south, Méry-la-Bataille in the southwest and Courcelles-Epayelles in the west.
