The canton of Ressons-sur-Matz was a French canton in the Arrondissement Compiègne , in the Département Oise and in the Picardie region until 2015 ; its main town was Ressons-sur-Matz . Joseph Sanguinette was the last representative in the General Council of the Department from 1997 to 2015. The canton Ressons-sur-Matz was 165.88 km² and had 11,134 inhabitants, which corresponded to a population density of around 67 inhabitants per km² ( as of 2006 ). It was on average 88 meters above sea level , between 37 meters in Coudun and 186 meters in Margny-sur-Matz .
