The Canton of Clermont is a French constituency in the Arrondissement Clermont , in the Oise and in the region of Hauts-de-France ; its main town is Clermont . André Vantomme ( PS ) has been a representative on the Department's General Council since 1982 . The canton of Clermont is 130.81 km² and has (2017) 38,730 inhabitants; this corresponds to a population density of 296 inhabitants per km².

Until the reorganization, the canton of Chaumont-en-Vexin consisted of the 24 municipalities of Agnetz , Airion , Avrechy , Avrigny , Bailleul-le-Soc , Blincourt , Breuil-le-Sec , Breuil-le-Vert , Bulles , Choisy-la-Victoire , Clermont , Épineuse , Erquery , Étouy , Fitz-James , Fouilleuse , Lamécourt , Litz , Maimbeville , La Neuville-en-Hez , Rémécourt , Rémérangles , La Rue-Saint-Pierre and Saint-Aubin-sous-Erquery . Its layout corresponded to an area of 212.18 km 2 .
