Thourotte is a French municipality with 4558 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Oise in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Compiègne and the Canton of Thourotte . The city lies on the river Oise or on the parallel Canal latéral à l'Oise (Eng. Oise Lateral Canal ).
A partnership with Rimbach in the Odenwald has been maintained since 1983 . In 1996 the community joined the Communauté de communes des Deux Vallées .
