Machemont is a French municipality with 718 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Oise in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement Compiègne and the canton Thourotte (until 2015: canton Ribécourt-Dreslincourt ).

Machemont is located on the Matz River , a tributary of the Oise . Machemont is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Cannectancourt in the north, Ribécourt-Dreslincourt in the northeast, Cambronne-lès-Ribécourt in the east, Thourotte in the south, Mélicocq in the southwest and Chevincourt in the west.
