The Matz is a river in France that runs in the Oise department in the Hauts-de-France region . It rises in the municipality of Canny-sur-Matz , drains first in a south-westerly direction, then turns to the south-east and after 25 kilometers flows into the Oise as a right tributary at Thourotte . Just before its mouth, the Matz crosses under the Canal latéral à l'Oise , which here accompanies the Oise as a side canal .
