Houdancourt is a French municipality with 671 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Oise in the region of Hauts-de-France .

geography

The municipality of Houdancourt is located about 20 kilometers southwest of Compiègne and 55 kilometers north of Paris in the Oise Valley . The Oise forms the southern boundary of Houdancourt. The flat landscape in the south of the municipality is characterized by remains of alluvial forest and numerous former gravel pits filled with water and fish farming ponds. The northern half of the municipality is characterized by arable and pasture areas. The district of Le Montaubert belongs to Houdancourt .

Neighboring municipalities of Houdancourt are Grandfresnoy in the north, Chevrières in the east, Longueil-Sainte-Marie in the southeast, Pontpoint and Les Ageux in the south and Bazicourt in the west.
