Estrées-Saint-Denis is a French commune with 3,752 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Oise in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement Compiègne and is the main town ( chef-lieu ) in the canton of Estrées-Saint-Denis . The inhabitants are called Dionysia .
geography
Estrées-Saint-Denis is located about 15 kilometers west of Compiègne in the valley of the Oise . Estrées-Saint-Denis is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Rouvillers in the north and north-west, Francières in the north and north-east, Remy in the east, Moyvillers in the south and south-east, Choisy-la-Victoire in the south-west and Bailleul-le-Soc in the west. The former Route nationale 17 (today's D1017) runs through the municipality .
