Remy is a French commune with 1,836 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Oise in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement Compiègne and is part of the canton Estrées-Saint-Denis . The inhabitants are called Remynois .

geography

Remy is about ten kilometers west-northwest of Compiègne . Remy is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Francières in the north and northwest, Montmartin in the north, Monchy-Humières in the north and northeast, Baugy in the northeast, Lachelle in the east, Jonquières in the south and southeast, Arsy in the south, Moyvillers in the southwest and Estrées-Saint- Denis in the west.

The A1 autoroute leads through the municipality .

Remy has been in a community partnership with the Bavarian community of Lalling since 1999 . Since 2005 Remy and Lalling have also been on a parish friendship with the Czech community of Běšiny .
