Yuri Wiktorowitsch Trofimow ( Russian Юрий Викторович Трофимов , English Yuri Trofimov ; born January 26, 1984 in Igra , Udmurt ASSR , USSR ) is a Russian cyclist .

Yuri Trofimov took second place behind Trent Lowe at the 2002 Mountain Bike World Championships in junior cross country . Three years later he secured the world title in the U23 class.

In 2005 he joined the Russian Continental Team Omnibike Dynamo Moscow and won the French one-day race Paris – Troyes for this team in 2006 and 2007 . He received his first contract with a ProTeam in 2008 with the French team Bouygues Télécom . a. participated in "Grand Tours" and was tenth in the Giro d'Italia 2015 . He also won stages of the Critérium du Dauphiné and the Tour of the Basque Country .
