Justin Forsett (* 14. October 1985 in Lakeland , Florida ) is a former American American football poker players in the position of running backs . He played in the National Football League (NFL) for the Seattle Seahawks , Indianapolis Colts , Houston Texans , Jacksonville Jaguars , Baltimore Ravens , Detroit Lions and Denver Broncos .

Career

college

Forsett played at the University of California from 2004 to 2007 .

If it was used very little in its first year there, it was able to establish itself well in the three following years. He had a total of 3220 yards and 26 touchdowns . In the passing game he was also used and came to 386 yards and a touchdown.

NFL

Forsett was selected in the 2008 NFL Draft in the 7th round in a total of 233rd place by the Seattle Seahawks .

Seattle Seahawks (1st period)

Forsett was allowed to catch a  kickoff in the opening game of the 2008 NFL season and only acted as a return specialist . After the game, however, he was fired by the Seahawks to make room in the squad because they took suspended players back into the squad.

Indianapolis Colts

On September 10, 2008, he was signed by the Indianapolis Colts . They released him after three games on October 8, 2008.

Seattle Seahawks (2nd period)

After he was taken back to the training team at the Seahawks immediately after being released from the Indianapolis Colts, he received a new contract on October 14, 2008 and returned to the active team.

During the remainder of the 2008 season, he was used exclusively as a return specialist.

From his second NFL year in 2009 , he was also used increasingly as a running back and made 8 touchdowns by running and passing by the 2011 season . After that, his contract with the Seahawks expired and since this was not renewed, he became a free agent .

Houston Texans

In the 2012 season he was under contract with the Houston Texans .

Jacksonville Jaguars

For the 2013 season he was signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars . After the season he was released from the Jaguars.

Baltimore Ravens

Forsett got a one-year contract with the Baltimore Ravens for the 2014 season . He was able to convince as a running back this year. He played his way into the starting line-up and ran 1,266 yards in 235 runs and managed 8 touchdowns. With this achievement he was elected to the Pro Bowl after the season .

After this season he got a new contract for the 2015 season and also played for the Ravens this season.

In the 2016 season , Forsett was unable to build on his good performance and was released at the beginning of the season on October 4, 2016.

Detroit Lions

The Detroit Lions had at the time of Forsett's dismissal at the Baltimore Ravens great need for the position of running back and therefore signed Forsett on October 12, 2016. After the much younger running backs of the Lions were fit again, there was no more place for Forsett in the roster and he was released on December 3, 2016.

Denver Broncos

But since the Denver Broncos needed emergency solutions due to injuries in the running back position this season, they signed Forsett on December 5, 2016. At the Broncos, Gary Kubiak was the head coach at that time . He was the offensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens in Forsett's 2014 Pro Bowl season .

Forsett finished the 2016 season on the Denver Broncos roster.

Forsett announced his retirement from the NFL on May 3, 2017.
