Kéthely is a municipality in Somogy County, Hungary . The place is located about four kilometers from the southwestern end of Lake Balaton and extends about three kilometers along the main road 68 from Balatonszentgyörgy to Kaposvár . Kéthely has about 2,300 inhabitants. The landscape around Kéthely is also shaped by the swampy Nagy Berek and the vineyards and wooded hills to the west of the village.
Attractions
- Roman Catholic Church Szentháromság in the baroque style, which was built in 1714 and rebuilt in 1733.
- Hunyadi Castle in the Sáripuszta district , which was built around 1760 in Baroque style, is largely empty today and is in urgent need of renovation after a fire in 1986.
- Roman Catholic vineyard chapel Szőlőhegyi Istenanya kápolna from 1870, where masses for the pilgrimage of Mary are held.
