Balatonszentgyörgy is a Hungarian community in the county Marcali in Somogy county . It is located two kilometers from the southwestern bank of Lake Balaton .

The national road No. 76 runs through Balatonszentgyörgy. The community is connected to the railway line from Nagykanizsa to Siófok ; there is also a connection via Keszthely to Tapolca .
