Azarov II cabinet
The second Azarov cabinet was the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine between December 24, 2012 and February 27, 2014 . It was replaced by the Yatsenyuk cabinet .
Beginning
Five weeks after the parliamentary elections in 2012 , the previous Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov resigned in early December 2012, which, according to the constitution, also resulted in the resignation of the entire cabinet . On December 9, 2012, the President of Ukraine nominated Viktor Yanukovych Azarov again for the office of Prime Minister. On December 13, 2012, the Verkhovna Rada voted 255 out of 450 votes from MPs from the Party of Regions and Communist camps, approving the reappointment of Azarov as prime minister after tumultuous debates with two mass brawls between MPs Opposition and the ruling Party of Regions had come. On December 24, 2012, President Yanukovych finally appointed the new government of Ukraine .
The End
Azarov resigned on January 28, 2014 as a result of the Euromaidan unrest , in order to create “additional opportunities for a socio-political compromise” and for “the peaceful settlement of the conflict” in view of the conflict situation in the country. The resignation was accepted on the same day by the President and until the establishment of the new government on February 27, 2014, the first Vice Prime Minister Serhiy Arbusov took over the post of Prime Minister.
