Wilhelm von der Reck
Eberhard Friedrich Wilhelm Freiherr von der Reck (from 1897 Recké) (born December 23, 1819 in Osnabrück , † January 13, 1910 in Lübbecke ) was a German administrative officer, manor owner and member of parliament.
Life
Wilhelm von der Reck studied law at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . In 1841 he became a member of the Corps Saxo-Borussia Heidelberg . After graduating, he entered the Prussian civil service. In 1851 he became district administrator of the district Belgard in Pomerania . In 1865 he resigned from the service upon application. He became the owner of the Obernfelde estate, entails lord of Gut Stockhausen and Lübbecke and hereditary marshal in the Principality of Minden .
From 1869 to 1870 and from 1879 to 1893 Reck was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives for the constituency of Minden 1 as a member of the Conservative Party . He was a member of the Provincial Parliament of Westphalia and district deputy of the Lübbecke district . From 1875 to 1879 he was a member of the Prussian General Synod. He was deputy chairman of the Westphalian farmers' association .
Hermann von der Reck , head forester and MdHdA, was his brother.
