Ernst Friedrich von Podewils

Ernst Friedrich von Podewils (* 1718 ; † May 20, 1782 ) was a Pomeranian district administrator.

Life

Ernst Friedrich von Podewils came from the well- known noble family of the von Podewils , who lived in Pomerania . His parents were the royal Prussian captain and heir to Neuhof , Battin and Crampe along with two farms in Glötzin and a farm in Podewils , Ewald von Podwils († before 1758) and his first wife NN von Grumbkow († after 1723). His younger brother Christian Ludwig von Podewils was royal Prussian court and legation councilor.

Career

Not much is known about Georg Friedrich von Podewils' personal and professional career. However, he was initially a royal Prussian lieutenant and adjutant in infantry regiment No. 43 (Kalsow) . In 1749 he was master of Neuhof and Groß Reichow from his father's inheritance, and in 1758 he carried out an inheritance comparison with his brother Ludwig Christian von Podewils.

After the king canceled the election of Heinrich Wilhelm von Podewils († after 1758) as district administrator of the Belgard-Polzin district in the spring of 1753, he held the position of district administrator after a new ballot until 1762. In 1763 he was succeeded by Caspar Friedrich von Ramel .

In 1776, he resold his estate Groß Reichow to the chief magistrate Carl Friedrich Wendland for 20 years.

Podewils remained unmarried.
