Kalyan-Dombivli (also Kalyan-Dombivali , Marathi कल्याण डोंबिवली, Kalyāṇ-Ḍombivlī) is a city in the Indian state of Maharashtra .

It belongs to the metropolitan area of Mumbai (Bombay) and has around 1.2 million inhabitants (2011 census). It was created in 1982 by merging the administrations of the two cities of Kalyan and Dombivli .
