The Kansas City Pla-Mors were an American ice hockey team from Kansas City , Missouri . The team played between 1927 and 1951 in the American Hockey Association and the United States Hockey League .

history

The franchise of Chicago Americans from the American Hockey Association was the 1927/28 season , relocated to Kansas City, Missouri and changed its name to Kansas City Pla-Mors. In the seasons 1929/30 and 1932/33 , the team won the championship title of the AHA. From 1933 to 1940 the team played under the name Kansas City Greyhounds and was able to win the championship of the AHA again in the 1933/34 season. From 1940 until the AHA was dissolved, the team played under the name Kansas City Americans.

When the successor league of the AHA, the United States Hockey League , started playing in 1945, the Kansas City franchise was reactivated and played again under the name Pla-Mors. In the seasons 1945/46 and 1946/47 the Pla-Mors won the USHL championship title. The team last played from 1949 to 1951 under the name Kansas City Mohawks. When the USHL was dissolved after the 1950/51 season , the Kansas City team finally stopped playing.
