The canton Fallersleben existed from 1810 to 1813 in the Helmstedt district in the Oker department in the Kingdom of Westphalia . The incorporation of the Hanoverian provinces of Calenberg and Lüneburg made it necessary to combine several former Lünburg villages, which were established as the new canton of Fallersleben by the decree of September 26, 1810.
