coat of arms

The coat of arms of Sandkamp commemorates a landscape landmark, the Lindenberg in the village. The colors blue and yellow are reminiscent of centuries of belonging to the Guelph lands of the Lüneburg part.

The council of the then still independent municipality approved the coat of arms on August 28, 1970, and the Lüneburg government president approved it on September 16 of the same year.

Heraldic description: In blue on a golden (yellow) hill a golden (yellow) linden tree. Sandkamp also carries his coat of arms in a flag (hanging flag), which consists of three strips of blue-yellow-blue in a width ratio of 1: 2: 1 and bears the coat of arms on the wide central strip. It was decided and approved at the same time as the coat of arms.
