Karavann (stylized: KARAVANN ) is a Danish-Swiss music producer team around the musicians Tobias Jensen and Fabian Imper.
history
Imper and Jensen both grew up in Uetliburg and met at elementary school . Both began their musical careers in childhood and decided in 2003 to found a school band called "Revocratic". The first live concerts and recordings in various music studios followed. In 2005 they won the garage band contest by Mentos and Radio 105 .
Imper began taking keyboard and guitar lessons at the age of six. After graduating from elementary school , he began an apprenticeship at Dr. WA Günther Audio Systems AG in Erlenbach .
Jensen began an internship at Roman Camenzind's music production company HitMill after high school , where he worked for three years. He also worked as a session guitarist for Tiziana (winner The Voice of Switzerland ).
At the same time, the pre-productions for their debut album began to run their course. After completing the preparations in the home studio , a collaboration with the renowned producer Fred Herrmann was established. In the studio the idea came up to look for the voices for the songs all over the world. Finally, the singer Ryan Sanders , who was then based in Australia, joined the project.
The debut album Desert Tunes was released on September 30, 2016 and reached number 14 on the Swiss album charts.
For the live shows, the band is completed by Stephan Vonwiller (bass) and Roger Hintermann (drums), who also play for Larry F , Andy McSean and Stefania Kaye, among others .
