Kardos is a Hungarian community in the county Szarvas in Békés county .
Geographical location
Kardos is about 15 kilometers southeast of the district town of Szarvas . Neighboring communities are Örménykút , Csabacsűd and Kondoros .

Kardos received the status of an independent municipality in 1989.
