Kareem Streete-Thompson (born March 30, 1973 in Ithaca , New York ) is a former long jumper and sprinter from the Cayman Islands . From 1993 to 1999 he competed for the United States .

At the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo in 1991 , he was eliminated in the long jump in qualification. In 1992 he came at the Olympic Games in Barcelona over 100 m and in the long jump not beyond the first round.

In 1993 he won the long jump at the Universiade , and in 1995 he came 14th in the same discipline at the World Championships in Gothenburg .

In 1999 he won silver in the long jump at the Pan American Games in Winnipeg . At the World Championships in Seville he finished eighth over 100 m and failed in the long jump in qualification. Also in the long jump of the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, he was eliminated in the preliminary round.

In 2001 he won silver in the long jump at the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Lisbon and gold at the Central American and Caribbean Championships and finished fifth at the World Championships in Edmonton

At the Commonwealth Games in 2002 he won bronze in the long jump. In 2003 he defended his title in the long jump at the Central American and Caribbean Championships, finished fourth at the Pan American Games in Santo Domingo and failed in qualifying at the World Cup in Paris / Saint-Denis .

At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens he reached the quarter-finals over 100 m and was eliminated in the long jump in the preliminary round.
