Karina Arroyave

Karina Arroyave (born July 16, 1969 in Colombia ) is an American actress of Colombian descent.

Life

Arroyave closed the New York art school LaGuardia High School and moved to the West Coast of the United States. She made her debut in 1988 on the television series As the World Turns , in which she appeared until 1994. In the film drama The Knallharte Prinzipal (1989), which was nominated several times for the Young Artist Award and received two Image Awards , she was seen at the side of Morgan Freeman .

In the thriller Falling Down (1993), Arroyave played the girlfriend of one of the Latino gangsters whose guns were stolen and used by William "D-Fens" Foster ( Michael Douglas ). In the thriller Die Geschworen (1994) with Joanne Whalley , Armand Assante , Gabriel Byrne and William Hurt she played one of the jurors. In the thriller 187 - A Deadly Number (1997) she was seen alongside Samuel L. Jackson in one of the bigger roles. She also played a bigger role in the television film Shock Television , released a year later .
