Karl Bahlmann

Heinrich Maria Karl Bahlmann (born March 6, 1859 in Neustadt i. Ob. Schles. , † March 6, 1922 in Beckum ) was a German civil servant and politician of the Catholic Center Party .

Bahlmann - son of Friedrich Wilhelm Bahlmann and Agnes Rath - graduated from high school in Recklinghausen in 1881 and studied law in Freiburg , Greifswald and Berlin . In 1884 he received his doctorate in law (Dr. jur.) In Jena . In 1885 he passed the first and in 1890 the second state examination.

From April 1890 he was a government assessor in the Köslin government and in September 1890 in the Solingen district office . From 1891 to 1899 he was a senior administrator in the Gammertingen district office . From 1894 to 1899 he was a representative of the Gammertingen Regional Office in the municipal parliament of the Hohenzollern Lands . From 1899 he was district administrator in the Beckum district . He stayed that way until 1922, when Carl Fenner von Fenneberg succeeded him. He was also a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Westphalia for the constituency of Beckum from 1911 to 1920 for the Center Party .

He was married to Emilie Drecker. His daughter Elisabeth Bahlmann (1897–1978) married the Hamburg factory owner Otto Lagerfeld (1881–1967 ) in 1930 , from which the fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld came from . His daughter Felicitas married Conrad Ramstedt .
