Karl Bohny
Karl Bohny (born April 4, 1856 in Basel ; † March 28, 1928 there ) was a Swiss doctor and colonel in the medical service of the Swiss Army .
He worked for a time as chief physician of the Swiss Red Cross (SRC) and was President of the SRC from 1918 to 1928 as the successor to Isaak Iselin-Sarasin . For his services to the repatriation of war-wounded from the neighboring countries of Switzerland during the First World War it was established in January 1920 by the Medical Faculty of Basel University , the honorary doctorate awarded.
His son Gustav Adolf Bohny also became President of the SRC.
