Life

Karl Gottlob Boguslav von Zychlinsky was born as the son of the landowner Gustav Bernhard Sigismund von Zychlinsky (born May 21, 1743 in Krämersborn; † April 23, 1809 in Treppeln) and his second wife Charlotte Auguste Ernestine Wilhelme (October 31, 1765 in Schönfließ; † 28 August 1832 in Posen ), a daughter of Gottlob Ernst von Rabenau (1721–1793).

He attended grammar school in Görlitz and then began studying at the University of Halle , but had to interrupt his studies in 1806 because of the hostilities and make his way to Crossen without any significant means , where his parents, who had since acquired the Treppeln estate, had fled. However, he did not take up the study any more, but supported his father in the management of the property and took it over as the only son after his father's death.

In 1824 he was appointed member of the Provincial Parliament by his fellow members, and later he was elected to the Knighthood Council (delegate of the noble landowners of a district for the Prussian provincial parliament concerned) as well as the Fire Society Director and General Director of the Neumärkische Eständische Land-Feuersocietät.

In 1810 he married Ottilie Margaretha Dorothea (* unknown; † 1839), daughter of Baron Gotthard von Blomberg on Liebthal . The marriage remained childless. In 1843 he married his second wife, Baron Louise von Blomberg (* 1793, † February 28, 1854 in Treppeln) with his sister.

His only sister Adelheide Wilhelmine Helene (born March 7, 1787 in Treppeln, † September 29, 1855 ibid), widow of Lieutenant General a. D. Karl von Rheinbaben moved in with him after the death of his second wife and helped with the management of the estate. The estate was later bequeathed to her son Albert von Rheinbaben .
