Karl Miesitschek von Wischkau

Karl Gustav Oskar Miesitschek von Wischkau (born June 29, 1859 , † March 26, 1937 in Liegnitz ) was a German administrative lawyer , district administrator and minister of state in the Principality of Lippe (1897-1899).

From 1910 to 1919, Karl Miesitschek von Wischkau was the last imperial government president of the Prussian administrative district of Magdeburg in the province of Saxony .

Life

After completing his law degree , Karl Miesitschek von Wischkau embarked on a career in administrative law. From 1889 he was district administrator in Wongrowitz until he moved to Thorn in the same position in 1895 . In the following year Miesitschek was appointed to the governing council of the High Presidium of the Province of West Prussia . He then became Minister of State in the Principality of Lippe and held this office until the end of 1899. In 1902 Miesitschek returned to the Prussian civil service and was promoted to government councilor in Marienwerder until he was transferred to Posen in 1905 . Miesitschek then worked as a senior government councilor in Düsseldorf between 1907 and 1910 . In 1910 he was finally appointed regional president of the government of Magdeburg. Here he also experienced the November Revolution after the First World War . After the establishment of the Weimar Republic , Miesitschek resigned and resigned from office in 1919.

He was married to Jenny Magdalena Mathilde von Goßler (* 1880), the youngest daughter of District Administrator and Privy Councilor Eugen von Goßler .
