Karl Harlander

Karl Harlander (born September 10, 1861 in Munich ; † March 28, 1936 there ) was a Bavarian lieutenant general .

Life

Harlander started an officer career in the Bavarian Army and first attended war school . In 1882 he was promoted to lieutenant , in 1891 to lieutenant , in 1897 to captain , in 1906 to major and in 1909 to lieutenant colonel. In 1910 he became the commander of the 3rd field artillery regiment "Prince Leopold" . In 1911 he was promoted to colonel . In 1912 he was charged with the statutory board for disposition made and with the Military Merit III. Class excellent.

With the outbreak of the First World War , Harlander was reactivated. After a job in the Feldzeugmeisterei, he served as a department head in the War Ministry . In 1915 he was promoted to major general and at the end of the war to lieutenant general. With the last promotion he carried the title of excellence .

Harlander studied medicine , was awarded a Dr. med. PhD and then worked as a general practitioner. In 1921 the Corps Vitruvia Munich awarded him the Corpsschleife . Since 1901 he was married to Hedwig, née Ehrenreich, widowed Gilka.
