Karl Heinrich Tinti (born December 27, 1919 in Kroisbach near Graz ; † October 27, 2013 in Leoben ) was an Austrian writer, journalist, actor and mining scientist as well as a gentleman and farmer in Tyrol .

Life

Karl Heinrich Tinti was born in Kroisbach in 1919 as the son of Rudolf Tinti (Baron of Tinti until the Nobility Repeal Act ). He is the grandson of Karl Valentin Reichsfreiherr von Tinti and the cousin of Friedrich Tinti .

After the secondary school , where he graduated with honors, he attended the Montanistische Hochschule Leoben from 1937 to 1941 , which he left as a graduate engineer. During his studies, Karl Heinrich Tinti became a member of the Schacht Corps , to which his brother Rolf Tinti already belonged. He served in the German Wehrmacht until 1945 and in the meantime also worked for  Hellmuth Walter in Kiel (HWK rocket technology). In 1948 he returned to Austria and became works manager at Mayr-Melnhofschen Steirische Montanwerke in Leoben . In 1954 he went to the Austrian Alpine Mining Society in Donawitz and finally retired on December 31, 1979 as operations director.

In parallel to his mining activities, after having passed the master builder examination in 1953, he worked as a technician, then authorized signatory and from 1965 to 1983 as managing director of the construction company at Rossmann.

From 1970 to 1985 he was "First State Rifle Master" in Styria. In 1982 he received the Silver Medal of Honor from the Austrian Shooting Association , in 1984 the Golden Medal of Honor from the Styrian Land Shooting Association and in 1985 the State Sports Medal of Honor . Karl Henry Tinti was several senior national champion in the air - and KK -Gewehr, 1991 Senior Vice-champion in both disciplines, 1991 and 1992 national champion with the Styrian team. He retired in 1984 as captain of the reserve in the Austrian Armed Forces . In 1997 he was awarded the poet's stone shield from the Dichterstein Offenhausen association, which was banned in 1999 due to being re- employed by the National Socialists .

From his marriage to Elisabeth Rossmann (1952), Karl Heinrich Tinti has two daughters and a son, his eldest son was born in 1945.

Karl Heinrich Tinti died on October 27, 2013 at the age of 93 in his hometown.

As part of his mining activities, he wrote a number of articles in specialist journals on construction, mining history and business administration. He gave lectures on adult education in the Urania and in the Chamber for Workers and Employees .
