Jaaßelmühlen

The Jaaßelmühlen are north of the village . The Jaaßelmühlen are mentioned in the Lüneburg fief register in 1360 and in the Lüneburg treasury register in 1450. It is no longer possible to understand how long there have been two mills in Jaaßel. Just like the Oldemühle, the Jaaßelmühlen were in the afterlehen of the von Plato and von Estorf families . In the middle of the 19th century, one of the two mills burned down and was then rebuilt. After the First World War, electricity was also briefly generated. A turbine is still operated over the mill today, which is used for grinding for personal needs. The mill is in good condition.

In 1880, a employed miller built a post mill south of the village. In the village he ran a groats mill . After the First World War, the windmill was sold for dismantling.
