Tüschau is a district of the municipality of coastal in the joint municipality of Lüchow (Wendland) in the Lower Saxony district of Lüchow-Dannenberg . The place is 11 km northwest of Lüchow in the Niederen Geest in the immediate vicinity of Saggrian .
history
The village is first mentioned as Tuschowe in the Lüneburg fiefdom register in 1330 . A fire in 1870 destroyed almost the entire village and it was rebuilt in the same place. Tüschau and Saggrian were merged into one municipality in 1929 and, in 1972, as part of the municipal reform into a district of coastal. Tüschau belongs to the parish Krummasel . The Tüschau volunteer fire brigade joined forces with the Krummasel volunteer fire brigade in 2009. The fire station is in Tüschau. The non-profit association "Tu Was e.V." maintains a conference center in town.
