Reitze (slav. Reka = river) is a municipality coasts in the Samtgemeinde Lüchow (Wendland) in Lower Saxony Lüchow-Dannenberg . The place is 5 km northwest of Lüchow south of the district road from Lübeln to Metzingen in the Niederen Geest on the upper Lübelner Mühlenbach. Reitze is a round man .
The place was first mentioned in 1313 as Recizze. In 1776, a chapel dedicated to Laurentius of Rome is listed in the Kurhannoversche Landesaufnahme . It was demolished because it was in disrepair and not rebuilt. In 1972, as part of the municipal reform , the previously independent municipality became a district of coastal. The place had mostly between 70 and 80 inhabitants in the last two hundred years. Reitze belongs to the parish of Plate .
