geography
source
The Kasselbach rises at an altitude of 340 m above sea level. NHN in Kasselgrund north of Röhrig .
Similar to the Bieber, the original Kassel spring for the drinking water supply of Frankfurt am Main was taken. Other sources in the Kasselgrund also feed into this supply. The Kasselbach rises today from the overflows of the Kasselgrund and Hummelsborn drinking water tunnels .
course
The Kasselbach initially flows in a north-westerly direction through woodland past the Altenburg ring wall . It leaves the forest a little later, then runs in a strip of fields and meadows surrounded by forest and is then strengthened on its right by the Lämmerbach .
The Kasselbach now first passes the Günthersmühle and then the Rietmühle , then flows through a small pond and then reaches the Kassel district of Biebergemünd .
It passes this village and finally ends at the bridge Höchst Weg at a height of 150 m above sea level. NHN from the right into the beaver .
Its run, 6.9 km long, ends about 190 meters below its source, so it has an average bed gradient of 28 ‰.
Catchment area
